The fourth day of NZCT AIMS Games table tennis offered some of the busiest activity for the week, with Mixed, Boys and Girls doubles draws played to semifinals.  There were 32 mixed pairs, 16 girls pairs and 38 boys pairs.
Unlike with the singles there were numerous upsets for seeded players.  In some cases tiredness had clearly set in.
Match of the day was a plate semifinal match, which went to 20-18 in the fifth set, won by Jacob Yoon and Kevin Lee.
Most of the usual suspects will appear on finals day, including 2015 singles winners Nathan Xu and Grace Qin.
The girls doubles semis on Friday at 10.30 feature an all Mount Maunganui matchup, while the boys semis contain 3 Auckland teams and the lone Otumoetai finalists, Drew Tilsley and Alex Freeman.  Mixed doubles has two Somerville pairings battling it out, with Pinehurst and Mount Maunganui on the other side.
The action starts from 9am, commencing with the boys and girls teams finals and bronze play-offs.
Final prize-giving will be around 2pm.
